How To Get Involved

Serve as a Volunteer

God uses ordinary people to carry out His extraordinary plan. Are you looking for a short-term missionary experience for yourself or church? Are you willing to work hard, sweat, and step outside of your comfort zone in order to bring the gospel to those who have never heard? Do you want to use your skills to make a difference in the lives of others for eternity? If so, then Amazon Connect is for you! Come help us! The trips are open to anyone 16 years old and older. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Medical professionals are welcome, but it is not a requirement! We will plug everyone in in some area, either on the clinical team or evangelistic team. The total cost of each trip will vary, depending on the destination; however, the following will be included:

  • Meals
  • Lodging
  • Air Transportation (from a specific US airport)
  • Ground Transportation
  • Team T-Shirt
  • Water Bottle
  • Ministry Expenses (tracts, Bible lessons, and materials)
  • Travel Visa (will not include passport expense)

Supply The Family Pack

In each village, we will treat many people and supply a Family Pack for each family that we treat. Often; a church, Sunday School class, or Bible study group will get involved by holding an Amazon Connect Medicine Drive, to supply items to fill the Family Packs. This gets others involved with you in taking the gospel to the Amazon. These items can be sent to Baptist International Mission Inc.; PO Box 9, Harrison, TN 37341 in care of Amazon For Christ. You can start collecting these NOW!

We have attached a list of items which we generally collect. Ed Torres is responsible for inventorying the supplies which are collected.

There are three ways in which to get those items to our storage unit.

1) We can have someone pick them up from you at your church or location. Contact: Edward Torres at torres.ed.4christ@gmail.com

2) Sometimes individuals will bring them to our storage facility near Chattanooga, TN. Storage Facility: 557 Prater Rd - Rossville, GA 30741

3) The items can be sent vis USPS, Fedex or UPS. Mailing Address: 8614 Harrison Bay Road - Harrison, TN 37341
